The North American Hairstyling
Award for Nail Makeovers was first introduced as a category for the NAHA
'Passion Award' in 1994 by the Beauty and Barber Supply Institute (BBSI).
I was thrilled to be chosen as one of three finalists who flew out
to California to attend the NAHA Awards Banquet. After the Banquet,
we viewed a 'before and after' slide show of all the entries for each
category of hairstyling and nail enhancements. After viewing the
slides for the nail category and hearing my name called as the winner, I
could hardly move from my seat to receive the Passion Award. It is a
great honor to receive this award, and a lot of hard work put into the
preparation of your model, and the photography set-up and session. A
lot of money as well; however, it is worth every cent and every minute
spent. The slide show you are viewing are the slides I entered for the NAHA
Nail Makeover Competition. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as
I did preparing them.
